Name: Matt Mink
Previous name: Sanjay Dev Singh
Title: Associate Restaurant Reviewer; Ninja
Born October 24th, 1977 in Jaisalmer, India, as Sanjay Dev Singh, Mr. Mink spent the formative years of his childhood starring in dozens of Bollywood films. His most famous appearance was in the highly controversial flick “Bangalore Love Child of Death” (see a clip from the video below). Although the film was considered to be Sanjay’s best on-screen performance, it was also considered to be horrible. Public backlash against the film forced Sanjay’s family to trade him at the annual Pushkar Camel festival for a healthy 700kg cow and a slightly used cart. |
After years of forced labour, consisting primarily of packaging hashish into bricks, Sanjay escaped via Papapyrus boat to Japan. There, it was under the tutelage of Chen Kenichi (aka Iron Chef Chinese) that he developed a keen eye for quality food preparation. It wasn’t long before Sanjay was promoted to lead sous-chef in Chen’s restaurant in Akasaka, Japan.
Things were really going well until May 2nd 1995, when, after a disastrous night of Fugu tasting and karaoke, Sanjay was rushed by ambulance to a local hospital. On the verge of dying from the puffer fish’s harsh neurotoxin, an apparition (later identified as “Le Petit Sumo”) spoke to him, giving him the strength and culinary astuteness of 10000 Michelin chefs. With miraculous vigor, he stormed out of the emergency department and boarded the first flight to Canada to thank Le Petit Sumo in person.
In 1999, he changed his name and enrolled in Pharmacy school where he met Ren. The two have now teamed up to provide the average white man with insight on Calgary’s most notoriously dodgy restaurants.
In his spare time, Mr. Mink enjoys lecturing homeless people in the park about the dangers of bad butter chicken, as well as devising plans to exploit the elderly. |
