So without matty I decided to try out a restaurant
near my work that is run by a couple Indian / Pakistani / Bangledeshi fellows.
I'm not really sure.... somewhere in the vicinity of the great sub-continent
though.
Location: Close to work. Convenient atmosphere.
Relatively clean but I wouldn't eat there, I'd get takeout.
Menu: Pretty limited, basically sandwiches
on a variety of submarine shaped buns. Soup is available...but really,
its not about the soup. Couple choices for meat/veg, and they claim it's
all fresh. For a change of pace I ordered a seafood delight sandwich (fake
crab in mayo on bread) and topped it with lettuce, pickles and southwest
sauce. The sauce is great, a nice creamy/spicy number with lots of flavour.
Rating/results.....Well, besides the case
of low-grade food poisoning (stomach cramping, diarrhea, more cramping,
extreme flatulence) it was tasty.
Recommendation: avoid subway. Their subs
are overpriced, and the seafood sub seems to be extremely unhealthy. Maybe
jared lost all that weight with a bout of cholera from eating the seafood
sub. signing off with another exciting dodgy indian-prepared food review....
